Healthcare AI,
past the pilot.

Exley Informatics leads agentic-AI programs inside health systems and advises the health-tech companies building for them. We field the senior teams that do the work: operator judgment, forward deployed.

Who we put in the room:

operators / informaticists / faculty / builders

Exley Informatics staffs to a standard. Every engagement is led by someone who has held enterprise accountability inside a health system, implemented Epic at scale, and shipped AI into production. We don’t staff to a rate card.

The role

/ the role 03

The Forward Deployed Informaticist is applied medical informatics rebuilt for the agentic era. The Informaticist works inside the institution and carries accountability for what ships.

Every engagement begins by observing what actually happens today, which is rarely accurate to what the workflow document says — assuming one even exists. Then we determine what should happen and which instrument gets you there: an agent, a change to the source system, a redesigned process, or a change to how the work is organized. AI alone rarely solves the problem. Advanced technology deployment must be paired with change to the existing process, and we do that work too.

We lead the build and the go-live, because whoever plans the solution should be there when it lands on real people.

Our most significant work is currently under NDA, but the methods aren’t. Let’s talk about how we can help your AI initiatives deliver meaningful results.

/ what we do 04

What we’re hired for:

AI deployment leadership. We run enterprise programs all the way to production and stay until they hold.

Governance & assurance. Transparent, dependable outputs. Structures that hold up under a survey.

Portfolio and vendor judgment. We help you make sense of the many options and choose well, whether the right choice is to build, buy nothing, wait, or make better use of what you already own.

Executive advisory. A senior executive alongside while navigating complex strategic decisions.

We have no platform to defend, take no reseller margins and don’t sell products. When building is the right answer we’ll build it, and when it isn’t we’ll say so.

Your evaluation carries no conflict: we recuse wherever a client of ours competes.

/ fit 05

You’re a fit if:

[ you run a health system ]

You have AI ideas arriving from every corner of the organization and no clear way to assess them.

Your pilots launch but never reach the whole workforce.

Governance intake has become the bottleneck rather than the safeguard.

You want someone who will tell you when not to build or buy, and why.

[ you build for healthcare ]

Your product demos beautifully and dies in evaluation, and nobody inside can tell you why.

You need to know what the informatics team will do to your product in week two.

Buyers are asking you for an AI story and they’ve already heard forty of them.

You know you have to move. You don’t know whether to build, buy, or re-aim what you already own.

The standard

/ the standard 06

Every deployment gets measured against one question: “Are the people doing the work, and the people receiving it, better off?” Sometimes that’s time returned to a clinician, or access gained by a patient. Sometimes it’s a supply chain that stops leaking money, or a financial process that stops consuming hours better spent elsewhere. Sometimes it’s getting real work out of the systems and IP you already own. We baseline before launch and put the retirement criteria in writing. If it doesn’t help the people doing or receiving the work, it gets shut off.
